The Text Message

Hey guys! I just got back from the movies with Mia. We saw Gnomeo and Juliet. snoooozzzaaaa.
Actually, I wouldn't know because some idiot in front of us was sooo annoying and wouldn't take their HUGE hat off!! lol.
My life is going great (so far.) Kanani got expelled for the punch incident, and Matt and I are like totally boyfriend and girlfriend. Oops. Almost forgot.

Earlier today Julie wandered into my corner of the room.

"Hey Lanie..." She said.

"Oh, hi Julie. Uhh...what brings ya here?" I asked. She looked a bit nervous.

"What? Huh? NOTHING...I mean...uhh...nothing brings me here I was just passing by ya know.....heh heh." she stuttered.

"Julie what's going on?"

"Okay, fine. I'm the oldest and I should be mature in this situation."

"What do you mean by "situation"?" I asked, confused.

She took a deep breathe and handed me her phone. "Uhh...thanks?" I said. Julie just shook her head.

"Read the text message."

To: Julie
From: Matt

Hey Julie. It's Matt, your little sister's boyfriend...um...this isn't easy but I think that Lanie and I should break up. Please tell me how to let her down gently! Thx.


I looked up, shocked. "Wh-wh-wha-WHAT? H-h-he wants to bb-brree--brea--kk up?" I whispered to myself. I could feel my eyes starting to water. Soon all the tears rushed down my cheeks.

"Oh...Lanie..." Julie comforted me and hugged me. "I'm so sorry Lanie. I know this was your first real relationship. But always remember your big sister Julie is here for you." I looked up hopefully at her.

*sniffle* "Really?" I asked

"Really." she said. I got up and looked outside. A new sheet of snow was just beginning to fall from the sky. I then promised to be a new doll.

"Lanie..." I heard Paige call. I ran back into my bed and pretended to be asleep. She walked into our part of her room and shook me "awake." I moaned. Paige stroked my blonde locks.

"Lanie, I know things are hard, but I want you to know that your sisters and I are always here for you. No matter what. In fact, you might have a new little sister soon." What! She's getting another doll! When? I think Paige saw the sparkle in my green eyes. "Soon, don't worry. But anyway, we are going outside to play in the snow. Come out when ever your ready." I heard her close the door behind her and I jumped out of bed. I didn't need Matt. I just needed my family and friends. I quickly put on my hat, gloves, jacket, and mittens.

We played in the snow for hours until I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. Julie, Mia, Felicity, and I brewed up some hot cocoa. It really wasn't snowing that hard and it wasn't that cold, but hey, who cares!! lol.

So like I said, I'm feeling much, much better. I'll talk to Matt at school tomorrow, but for now, I'm fine. I just  got my slippers and robe on. Fuzzy!
