Wow, it's been so long. My last post ended with a closing about summer. And I'm two months into the school year.

You see, I have just entered Middle School. Uh, to be honest, it's hard. Lot's of homework. Lot's of pressure. Lot's of grades.

So blogging here really isn't an option anymore. I have the time after school to make a blog post, but I just don't enjoy it anymore. At least...blogging on THIS blog.
I recently told you guys that I had a youtube account that I went on WAY more often. youtube.com/americangirl010

But, I know some of my followers aren't allowed to go onto youtube. So, here's the thing. I have a blog FOR my youtube account, that has updates on which videos I'm making next and things that are happening in the "American Girl Youtube" world. Yes, we have an amazing community of girls that make videos with our dolls :) It's amazing! But anyway, if you can't contact me on youtube, talk to me on my NEW BLOG that is NOT WRITTEN BY ME BUT BY PAIGE! I may sometimes post but it is mostly Paige. The posts may not make any sense to you because they are about youtube, but it would mean the world if my followers could talk to me using that blog. Comment or i'll make a chatbox. Okay, I have some explaining to do...

Hey guys!!! Okay...I'm a horrible blogger!!!!!

No, I didn't fall off the face of the Earth xD
No, my computer didn't break...
No, it wasn't the excuse I HATE to hear(I was busy)

The only explanation is that..

I forgot, and I was L-A-Z-Y! Well, at first Blogspot was being STUPID and wouldn't let me post, and then I just got lazy and didn't feel like posting.

ERGGGGGG!!! I know you are all so angry at me!!
And I left a ton of my new friends on here!!!
Now that it is summer I will be able to post more!!
So, anyway, the play was OKAY. You're probably thinking that there should be some extreme happening, but nothing really happened. Chrissa, Kanani, Mia, and Matt were all in the front row. Ryan kissed me, and I mean KISSED me, but Matt was fine with it afterwards. Ryan kept flirting with me, but in the end he just went home with nothing.

So now it is summer and it's time for no school and more pool!

One, rehearsals have been going okay, but not great. Ryan is always making up stupid pick up lines.He is so full of himself!!! The play is going to be on next Friday night, so wish me luck! (more detail on rehearsals soon)

Suddenly I felt somebody's hands cover my eyes.

"Guess who?" somebody voice asked.

"Matt!" He removed his hands, spun me around, and kissed me. "I got the part of Cinderella!" I whispered loudly.

"I know!" He said, smiling. He kissed me again and then took another look at the list. His eyes locked on the prince's part and his face fell.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Well, the prince is Ryan L-"

"Hey, baby!" Ryan's voice suddenly appeared. He put his arm around me and smiled.

He was totally checking me out!

Ryan pulled me in closer but I pushed him away. "What's the matter, baby? We are going to have to kiss for the play anyway," he said with a wink.

Matt stepped in. "Hey buddy, get off my girl!"

"Your girl? Not anymore! I'm her prince now, so step aside Matthew." Ryan gave him a shove. Matt punched him on the shoulder.

"GUYS! BREAK IT UP!" I screamed.

"Watch your back, Matt," Ryan warned. He gave me a kiss on the lips and then walked away.

I angrily swiped his kiss from my lips.

I'm back/auditions!

hey everybody! it's L-A-N-I-E hereeee! Yes, I am BACK! It feels so good to be posting again! I think I will post once a day now :) School is almost over, but they want to fit in our school play on the last day of schooool!

Yesterday we had try-outs, and I think I did pretty well!

We all sat in a line for hours outside waiting for our turn. Kanani sat beside me, and Chrissa was right next to her. Matt kept texting me things like:

Kanani leaned over my shoulder and looked at my texts.
"Eww..." she said, "Too gooshy."

I just giggled and set my phone down. I picked up my some of the paper in my Louis Vuitton purse. Then I started to jot down some ideas for my next article in the school newspaper.

"LANIE CAITLYN HOLLAND, PLEASE REPORT TO THE STAGE FOR YOUR AUDITION!" a man's voice bellowed in the speakers. I sent a quick text to Matt as Kanani patted my back.

Lanie: im goin in. :)

I opened the doors to the stage in the gym quickly replaying the lyrics of the song I was singing for them (click HERE for the song I was singing--Overboard by JB feat. Miley Cyrus)

The lights on the stage were BLINDING. The "observers" were just shapes in the darkness.

I took a deep breath and started to sing...

I walked out of the doors and Mia was waiting there to give me a hug. "When will we find out who got the parts?" I asked her.

"Next Tuesday. Come on, let's go get some icecream at Friendly's!" she responded.

hey guys, im not going to be posting that much for the next week! I have been not posting for sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long...i super duper pinky swear that i will post more often starting next week! something just happened to Paige that needs some getting used to, but we will ajust and be back shortly :)

Hey guys! First post on Barefoot Cinderella! Pretty exciting, huh???!!!!

Soooo anyway, yesterday at school our teacher made a HUGE announcement!

The whole class was WILD. Paper airplanes were being thrown everywhere, chairs were being knocked over, and girls were gossiping on the beanbag chairs in the corner of the classroom. The boys were having their own "mini" football game inside and the cheerleaders were cheering loudly. It was so loud that I decided I would sit on the other side of the classroom and read my book (The Penderwicks--great book, I recommend it!)

Suddenly, everyone heard a door open and the clack of a teacher's high heels on the hard wood floors. Everyone instantly stopped talking and sprinted back to their desks, expecting Mrs. Cameron to start yelling at them.

But she smiled!

"Hellloooooo, class!" she said cheerfully.

"Um, good morning Mrs. Cameron..." we all said half-heartidly.

"I have some EXCITING news!" She blurted out. The way she said exciting was the way people say, you WIN! We are all really shocked at her cheery-ness.

"We are having..." she pulled out a small flyer, "A SCHOOL PLAY!"
A couple of drama-freaks started clapping like mad, and the others clapped and whispered to eachother.

"The play is...CINDERELLA!" Mrs. Cameron said, answering our mental questions.
The popular blonde-haired girl instantly jabbered on and on about how THEY would be the PERFECT part for Cinderella and dragged their boyfriends into trying out to be the prince. I just sat there quietly.

"I'm going to let you all have a break to chat with your friends while I get some coffee! Oh, and did I ever tell you I used to be in the theatre business? Oh, I was the leading roll as Annie!" She almost skipped out of the room. Suddenly, she put her head back in the doorway and said, "I'm the director and try-outs are next week! Grab a flyer, little angels!!"

OMG. The strictest teacher in our school called us "little angels..!" I mean, she must REALLY like acting!

"Hey Lanie," Matt said as he pulled me onto his lap. *kiss*

Kanani ran up to me and said, "LANIE! You would be PERFECT for the part of Cinderella! Try out! Try out! Try out!"

I sat there, thinking about it.

"She's right, Lanie," Matt and Mia said at the same time. "JINX!" they both yelled, then laughed.

"Well...okay...I'll try out." I said.

The Announcement

Hey guys!!

--YESTERDAY--

*RING RING RING!!!!!* The school bell rang rapidly. That's the first bell." I thought. One more bell until the announcements. I sat in my desk eagerly waiting.

*RING RING RING!!!!!* It rang a second time!!!

And before I knew it, the speakers started to crackle and the principal, Mrs. Grazik, starting coughing.

"Hellloooooo, Girl/Boy of the Year University!! Good morning! It is 8:10 a.m. so please stand for the pledge."

After reciting the pledge of alligance, we heard the music teacher announce some reminders for the spring councert. After that, Mrs Grazik scratchy voice was present again.

"Now, I know you are all eagerly waiting for the winner of the School Newspaper Reporter Contest!" Everyone cheered, and I saw Kanani sit up straighter out of the corner of my eye. I felt Matt slip his hand into mine.

"Without further ado, THE WINNER IS..." Kanani stood up, as if she already knew she was the winner.

"MISS LANIE CAITLYN HOLLAND!!!!!"

 Kanani, with her face burning red, sat back down. In turn I stood up and smiled as the class clapped for me. Matt gave me a big hug, and Chrissa and Mia both gave me thumps-up. As I was walking out the door everyone high-fived me. As I strutted out the door to get my newspaper-reporter ID confidently, I felt something. Something weird. Something like guilt. I turned around and walked back to Kanani. I could tell she was embarrassed and dissapointed.

Her face was buried in her arms, and I heard her weeping.

"Kanani?"
"WHAT?? Did you come back here to rub it in my FACE??"
"Actually no, Kanani, I'm sorry. I knew you wanted this so badly. You just need some practice in writing. I'm sorry I hurt you. I don't want to fight anymore. Let's just be friends."
I held my breath until she answered.
She smiled and said, "I'd like that."
"Me too."
"And I'm-" Kanani stopped midsentence, then continued." I'm s-sorry."
"That's okay, friend! I will talk to you after school okay??"
She nodded.

As I turned out I felt as though everything was PERFECT. Matt hugged me again and then I realized, it was.

Curiously, I leaned over to see what Kanani had started. Turning around in my seat and peering over her shoulder, I saw the title and my shoulders drooped.

Kanani? War? AGAIN?

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of posts!!! Anyway, I will tell you what happened on Friday.

--FRIDAY--

I was casually walking down the long hallways of GOTYU. I heard someone call, "Hey Lanie!!" I turned around and saw Matt. He was rushing torwards me holding a flyer in his hand.
"Lanie! Lanie! Check this out!!!"
"What is it?" I looked down and saw a paper saying:

WE NEED WRITERS!

Interested in being a reporter and author for the school newspaper: The Buzz, and creating articles and polls online at our school website? Then this is your chance! Sign up now! All you need to do is get a parents permission, find an intresting story, write an article, send it to us, then we will pick the winner for the new reporter! I was looking for a cool story to report on. A new movie? A tragedy; Libya, Japan, etc? An exciting new change? As I pondered the ideas, I felt somebody rush into me.
"AHH!!" Someone yelled. "Watch where you're going, creep!" I looked up and saw Kanani on the ground.

"Oh my god, Kanani, I'm so sorry..."
"WELL YOU SHOULD BE!! I COULD'VE DIED!"
I rolled my eyes. Same old Kanani.
"What are you even doing here?" I asked.
"Well, I kind of go to school here!!"
"Ugh, I understand that, I mean why are you in Mrs. Kelly's math room? Only competing writers for the new spot on "The Buzz" can brainstorm here during study hall." I asked.
"It just so HAPPENS that I AM competing for that reporter spot." She responded.
My mouth hung open in disbelief.
"Now if you would EXCUSE ME," she said, "I have to go finish the BRILLIANT story I'm writing that will FOR SURE impress the teachers at The Buzz. Ciao!"

Isn't that fabulous? Now I have to come up with an even BETTER story that Kanani's "brilliant" one. We have officially gone to war...again!

Right now I am stuck in my room doing like 10000 assignments for homework!!!! I'm SOOO bored. Sooo I thought I would pull out my lap top and tell you guys that. Isn't that what you do in blogs?

Okay maybe this post is a bit boring...

But hey at least I tried!!

Mrs. Cameron was being a sehjfhlr and she gave me an extra 5 pages of stupid math homework for accidentally spilling my water. I mumbled under my breath "Urrggg..." So then she caught me and gave me another History packet to read and answer the questions at the bottom?

I mean, who really cares about the Revolutionary War?
Sigh, I can almost hear my know-it-all sisters screeching "OMG like everyone!!"

Ya im just chillin in my room right now...bored...did I already say that?
I'm just boring you to tears aren't I?
Well I guess I'll just tell you the rest of the misfornute happenings on Friday!!!
First, I tripped in the hallway.
Guess what that meant? Another science worksheet.

Then, I almost killed myself playing lacrosse after school! A girl was running torwards me (I was playing goalie) and then RAN INTO THE CREASE and slammed into me!!!!! And the ref. said it was MY FAULT for getting injured because I wasn't paying attention! Well it's kind of hard when a 100 pound girl is tackling you!!!!!!!!!

After that I spilled my lunch all over my brand new AG dress.

The Concert and huge news!

Hey everyone! Yesterday Matt, Julie, Zach, Chrissa, Sam, and I went to the Justin Bieber concert together. It was soo fun! We got front row seats. It was CRAZZYYYY!! Tons of girls screaming and crying LOL!

We got soda and t-shirts then sat down in our seats. He opened up with Love Me then went onto Baby, Somebody to Love, then finally One Less Lonley Girl.

In case you didn't know, everytime he's in concert and sings One Less Lonley Girl, the manager picks a random (lucky) girl out of the crowd and brings them onstage. JB then sings to them ontage while he circles them, gives them flowers and maked them feel special <3

I just happened to be that One Less Lonley Girl!

A guy in a black suit was going up and down our isle. He stopped at me and grabbed my arm.

"Uh, what's going on? Am I in trouble?" The man just laughed and said to follow him. Matt motioned me to go on, so I did.

A few minutes later, I was onstage! They sat me in a black stool while Justin Bieber sang. He made his way over to me and gave me some red roses. He circled me then kissed me on the cheek!!!!
Man, I was in Heaven!!!!

After the song ended, he gave me a hug while I was asked to return to my seat in the crowd.

When I got there, Matt gave me a big hug and told me I was great up there. I laughed and then we watched the rest of the concert. At the end Justin sang Never Say Never. There was fire and a huge flash of purple lighting, then the concert was over, For like an hour everyone was standing up and clapping really hard.

Then as we started to leave, Matt leaned over and kissed me. Otherwise I would be happy, but I was sooo upset that he was leaving.

As we pulled up to my house. Matt started to talk to me.

"Lanie!!! Guess What!"

"What?"

"I get to stay and live with my dad down the street!!"

Justin Bieber?!

I was just sitting at my desk in my room when I heard a knock at the door.

"Hello?" I said as I opened the door.
Nobody was there.
Confused, I looked around.

"Just a stupid ding-dong-ditch." I said to myself.

Just as I was about close the door, I saw an envelope sitting on the front steps.
I picked it up and opened it.

Lanie-

I bought you these tickets and backstage passes. We could  go together this Saturday night. You can bring a couple friends and their dates. It will be fun. Sort of like a "goodbye" party.

Inside was 10 tickets and backstage passes to....

JUSTIN BIEBER.

I almost fainted with excitement. I literally ran around the house screaming "JUSTIN JUSTIN BIEBER BIEBER!! OMG I'M GOING TO SEE HIM LIVE IN CONCERT!!!!!! AHHH!!!!!! BIEBER FEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Julie had to stop me to calm me down LOL!!!

This Saturday is the date of the concert and I'M SO EXCITED!! The bad part is that it is a goodbye party for Matt. Then it hit me.

Matt was leaving on Sunday.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Heyy! Lanie here! HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY! I'm wearing like all green :P I'm going to have all of this post be green in honor of ST. PATRICK!!!!!

Also, I have to continue telling you about Matt.

So after he told me he was moving, I just stood there in complete terror. Yes, terror. I was scared.

"But....but...." I stammered.
"I'm so sorry. My dad got a new job somewhere in Pennsylvania."
"But....I'll miss you!"
"I'll miss you too but there is nothing I can do about it."
Tears filled my eyes. Matt? My boyfriend? Miles away? It just didn't make sense.
"But Matt, I...I..."
"I love you." he whispered as he leaned into kiss me. Suprised, I took a sudden step back. He almost fell face first into the pavement.
"Then why are you moving away if you love me?" I whispered, shaking.
"Lanie you have to understand it's not my fault!"
Sighing, I realized how stupid I was being. Matt really couldn't do anything about it.
"I love you too." I said.

He kissed me but my eyes were open.

Later that night I couldn't fall asleep. All I thought about was Matt. Could we still be together if he moved?

Moving?

Oh, snap. My oh my. Oh my gosh. Yikes. Whatever you want to call it, I'm in complete shock. Here's the story.

Matt and I were talking a walk earlier today. It was raining so we shared an umbrella. I felt so good splashing in puddles and laughing with him. We talked for hours about school and life and all that stuff.
"Lanie," Matt asked suddenly.
"Ya Matt?"
"Uhh, nevermind."
"Oh...okay then."
"Do you want to come over for dinner with my family?"
"Sure!! C'mon let's go. I'm getting soaked!!"
We ran to his front porch panting and gasping for air. Quickly I texted my mom that I would be eating dinner at Matt's house.
Matt's mother opened the door and welcomed us inside. The kitchen was yellow and cozy. It smelled really good!
"What's for dinner?" I asked.
"Chicken." she responded.
Mrs. Lane makes the best chicken. (Yes Matt is Matt Lane. So if we ever get married, I'd be Lanie Lane haha!)

Matt was silent the whole dinner.
Matt's father spoke up. "So, Lanie, how are you taking the news?"
"Uh, what news?"
"Matt hasn't told you yet?"
"Told me what?"
Matt looked really nervous. He pulled me onto the back porch.

"Lanie,"
"Yes?"
"I'm moving."

Updates

Hey everybody!!! I just want to let you know Julie is in bed resting. She broke her leg and thankfully didn't get a concusion, but the doctor said she was very close. I felt so bad. I gave her flowers and chocolates and all that gooshey stuff the screams I'M SO SORRY! Julie is taking it hard. Although she says it's not my fault, she was so excited for cheer captain tryouts, and was dissapointed. She didn't say it, but I could see it on her face everyday when her friends texted her telling her that they were going to cheerleading practice. Her boyfriend Zach comes over every weekend and hangs out with her while she just sits in bed.

Anyway, Matt and I are doing fine. Perfect, in fact. We have dates like every week. We are basically the couple in school that everyone looks to for advice. :) I go to all his football games (he's the quarterback--I feel like I'm in a movie!!) and cheer him on in the crowd.

Kanani is horrible as usual, but she has gotten better over the past couple of weeks. Last week, I saw her holding hands with some other guy. Hopefully she's moved on from Matt! Mom is saving up for Kanani. I'm a bit scared. I hope she won't be as mean as the Kanani at our school.

Also, another update is that four more blogs are coming! They are Julie's, Felicity's, Mia's, and the family blog (for AG fans)!! Can't wait! They are still in the midst of being designed though.

AND THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR 7 FOLLOWERS! I know it sounds really small but I'm still really grateful and happy!!!!!!

I don't think I ever want to try cheerleading, Ever.

Yikes! It's been almost a week since my last post!! I'm soo sorry!!! I've had lax try-outs and book club and Matt and blah blah blah.

So anyway, today, after my lacrosse tryouts, I walked over to VCA (Varsity Cheerleading Academy) where Julie goes to school. Today she was trying out to be the cheer captain. Like a good sister, I decided to cheer her on.

When I got to the school, Julie was stretching on the side of the football field with the rest of her team. She had hot pink stretchy shorts and a gray tank top. Her hair was also in a high pony tail.
She didn't seem to notice me on the bleachers, but I decided not to disturb her.

Coach Lauren and the evaluators had clipboards and were calling people to come up and show them their best moves.

"Okay...next up....Julie Lee Albright!"

She lifted her head up to the sky and confidently strolled across the field to Coach Lauren.

"Hi Coach!" she said in her cheery voice.

"Hello Julie. Show us what you got!" She stepped back and watched.

WHOA. Julie was better than I thought. She did a cartwheel, 5 back hang springs, 3 flips, and then landed in a split. The whole time she said a catchy cheer perfectly. I was so proud of her! She worked sooo hard, I was sure she would make it.

Finally it was time for the pyramid. Julie managed to claw her way to the top. She stood up the proud, smiling, and holding her hands on her hips.

"GO JULIE!!!!!!!!!!!!" I screamed loudly and unexpectedly.

Confused and distracted, Julie, looking startled, began to lose her balance. Slowly at first, but then

SHE FELL OFF THE PYRAMID.

And it was all my fault.

Hey everyone. It's Lanie. I was thinking to myself and realized I have never told u about how I was picked out and ordered by Paige so here it is:

It started out when I was in the factory with all the other Lanie dolls. They were all selling really fast, and I was really excited to get picked. My worst fear was that I would never get an owner by the time all the Lanies retire.
One day a worker picked up my box and brought me into a huge delivery truck. I could barely see a thing. Suddenly, I heard a little scurrying noise. I then realized the person who ordered me had also ordered my accessories! I was finally going to have a bunny named lulu. I hoped that my new mom would be caring, loving, and has other ag dolls.
A week later I was being picked up. A girl was looking at me with a confused look on her face. Uh oh. I figured she didn't like me, but then she smiled and opened my box. Around her I saw she had three other dolls. They waved and winked at me.

Soo yep :) that's my story :D

The "Double Get Together" Part 3/3

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been posting very frequently, but I've been really busy. Anyway, here is the rest of what happened that night.

And to make matters worse, as I ran after Matt, I saw Kanani in the parking lot comforting him as he called for the limo to pick him up. Panicking, I held my purse on my head, it was raining, and started to sprint.
"MATT!" I called. Too late. His arm was around Kanani and they were talking like old friends. Fabulous.
He looked over at me, his face brightening, but them scowled and ignored my call.
Panting, I finally reached them.
"What do you want, Lanie?" He said.
"I'm...I'm..."
"WHAT?" he snapped.
"...sorry. I'm so sorry."
"Well you should have thought of that before you accused me of something I never did."
"I...I...."
"Just forget it, Lanie."
Tears filled my eyes. I realized then the person who sent that text couldn't of been Matt. He was too sweet and loyal. I let him down.
 "Matt, I never stopped thinking about you, not even after I got mad. I know the text wasn't from you now!"
"Good. Because I lost my phone last month. And no, I never stopped thinking about you either, but now I know that was a big mistake. I need somebody who trusts me, unlike you Lanie. See ya around school."
He was about to turn to walk away, when I grabbed him on the arm.
"Don't go. Please!" He wrenched his arm away.
Ding a ling, Ding a ling...somebody phone rang. I reached into my purse, now soaked along with my hair, and pulled out my phone. Not mine.
Kanani pulled a cell phone out of her purse and turned it off. The phone had a M on the back.
GASP.
That was Matt's phone.
As they were walking away, I screamed, "KANANI! HOW DARE YOU STEAL MATT'S PHONE AND TRY TO BREAK US UP!"
Looking "confused" Kanani pulled her purse closer to her.
"Uh, Lanie, I have no idea what your talking about." she lied.
I pulled the purse away from her and pulled out Matt's phone.
"Here you go Matt. I'm sorry."
I walked back to the restaurant as my tears mixed in with the down pour of raining crashing down all around me.
"I forgive you." I heard him yell to me.
Quickly turning around, he yelled out again. "Lanie! Come back! If it was me in that situation I would of done the same thing! We've been dating for months now and I could never regret thinking about you!"
I ran back to him and he hugged me and swung me around in a circle.
We looked into each others eyes. The world disappeared around us as he pulled me closer, his lips touching mine. We kissed. I didn't care the rain was pouring, ruining my dress and hair, I was back together with Matt.
I hugged him again and we waited on the curb until Zach and Julie were done eating and the limo picked us up.
While waiting, we talked and laughed. Kanani drove home with her mom.

Everything was perfect!

The "Double Get Together" Part 2/3

Hi!! Lanie in da house....haha! Here is what happened at the dinner:
After the waitress seated us, she asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for Coke, Julie got Dr.Pepper, and Zach and Matt got water.
"So guys, hows Girl Of The Year University?" Julie asked. Zach and her go to the same school. The boys schools had a "bug problem" and had to share the school with the girls. The schools that Zach and Matt used to go to were next to eachother so they both got the "bug problem."
"Good. But it's weird to be going to a school with Girl in the name!" Matt said. Everybody cracked up except me.
"Yah, and it's weird to be going to a school with a JERK!" I snapped.
"Lanie.." Julie started, but I cut her off.
"Just forget it OKAY?!"
Matt looked hurt.
I ran off into the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror, discusted with myself. Why did I have to have to make a scene in front of the whole restaurant, and Matt? My mascara was smearing across my face.
Deep breaths...I thought to myself. I fixed up my makeup and hair and slowly walked out of the bathroom. When I got back to the table, things were even more awkward than before. Without saying a word, I sat down. Catiously I peeked at Matt, who looked more angry than sad.
"I'm out of here!" he said.
"Matt-" I began.
"I can't believe you don't trust me! I never sent you that text! Some girlfriend you were!! And yes WERE! We are done! OVER! GOODBYE!" He grabbed his coat and stormed out of the restaurant.

The "Double Get Together"

"UGH!" I yelled as I slammed by backpack on the floor."It's Friday and I have homework IN EVERY SUBJECT!" I took off my shoes and stomped into the family room. I startled Julie who was reading Harry Potter.
"Hey, who let an elephant in here?" she joked. I shot her a look.
"OH MY GOSH! How could I have forgotten? Julie! Do you want to go on a double da-I mean get together me Matt, Zach, you and I?"
"Sure Lanie. What time?"
I checked one of the million post-it notes Matt sent me today reminding me about it.
"Uh, 8:00."
"Perfect. Why don't we go upstairs and get ready?"
"Sure."
I walked into my run and suddenly an idea sprang into my mind! I knew EXACTLY what I was going to wear to the dinner. It's back tie. (let's just say Matt isn't poor.)
Two hours later I strutted out of my room. I was wearing a beautiful (if I do say so myself :) purple dress. It was an unusual color, but not too loud. It was snug and I loved the neckline. I also wore tall back high heels. I didn't want to go too over the top, but I added some hoop earring and straitened my hair.
"Wow, Lanie, you look awesome!" Julie said.
"You too!" And I meant it. She looked gorgeous with her flowy back knee length dress. She also had HUGE diamond earrings on, plus black flats with fake black roses that were also embellished with diamonds. AND JULIE'S HAIR WAS CURLED! It looked soo beautiful.
She took my picture and we went downstairs.
DING DONG!
Eep! It was the doorbell! I opened the door and I saw Zach (Julie's boyfriend) and Matt. They were both wearing tuxedos! It was really fancy.
I couldn't help was think that Matt looked really hot. He flashed a smile.
"Hey Lanie."
"Hi."
"Uh, you look beautiful."
"Um, thanks." Things were still a bit awkward.
Zach told Julie she looked great, and then we were off. We got into the limo (ya a limo!) and we started to drive.
"So, which restaurant are we going to?" Julie asked.
"Wherever you want." Zach said.
"Ooo, how about that new restaurant on Main Street?"
"Oh, you mean White House Restaurant?" Matt asked.
"Yep."
When we arrived at White House Restaurant, I could tell why Julie wanted to go there. There were big chandeliers and every table, white lacy table cloths, waitors in tuxedos, and live music. Holy cow it was nice!

I'm actually writing this on my iPhone while the waitress is seating us. I will update later on how the dinner goes!

Heyy...
Today at school was pretty confusing. I tried talking to Matt. Here's the story:

I was in History class, the last period of the day. Mrs. Cameron was going on and on and on about some Indian and....(French?....no maybe British.....Aztecs?) war or something. I watched the clock slowly tick. TICK, TOCK, TICK, TOCK. I was so bored I wanted scream at Mrs. Cameron to SHUT UP. But I couldn't. Sadly. I rustled through the papers in my desk, hoping to find something useful.
Hey what's this? I thought as my hand felt something sticky. I pulled it out. Siggghhh. Just a boring back of boring post-it's. What was I supposed to do with that?
"Talk to Matt." I heard someone say. WHAT WAS THAT? I thought as I bounced up in my chair. Uhh...the gods giving me advice????????
"..about his math homework, Mia." Huh? Ohhh....Mrs. Cameron was talking to Mia about explaining the math homework, because he wasn't here that period. Ohh. I felt soo stupid. But, it did get my attention....maybe it WAS fate!! I grabbed a sticky note off the top and began writing.
Hi Matt. It's Lanie. I was wondering why you broke up with me?
I quickly placed it on his desk while Mrs. C turned to write something on the board.
Matt gave me a confused look. What? he mouthed. Then he wrote on the post-it and passed it back. Before I could open it, the bell rang, startling me. Everybody ran out of the room at once. I was the only one still in the classroom. As I slowly packed up, I opened the note.
What are you talking about?
Ugh. Like he doesn't know! I scowled. Ugh!...again!!!!!

When I got home, I got my laptop and started Skyping with my friend Cathy. I told her EVERYTHING. How Kanani and I fought over him, how we were perfect for eachother, and then how he broke up with me. Over a text. On my sister's cell phone! Cathy just shook her head in disbelief. Although she didn't say anything, I'm pretty sure we were on the same page. Matt is an IDIOT!
DING! Somebody was requesting a video chat.
"One sec Cathy, I need to put you on hold."
I checked to see who was calling. Guess who it was. If you guessed Matt, your right.
How dare he call me????????
Still, I was a little curious about what he had to say. Half-heartidly I accepted. His face popped up on the screen.
"Lanie?" he said.
"Ya."
"What was that about? The note?"
"You broke up with me, and I wanted to actually know why." I stated plainly.
"WHAT? I never broke up with you??"
"Liar."
"No, I'm not lying Lanie! I never did! How...what...who..."
"STOP! Just stop! You know what you did. You broke up with me over a text on my sister's cell phone."
Matt stared at me.
"You know I would never do that to my girlfriend!"
"Ahem. EX-girlfriend."
"Lanie! No!"
"Too late. First you break up with me, then you lie to me. Wow."
"I NEVER DID THAT!"
"Don't waste your breath." I snapped as I hung up on him. Shivers ran up and down my back. Some from anger, some from the idea that I might have made a mistake...
Torn, I went downstairs to get a drink of water to cool my nerves. Unfortunately, all my sisters were hanging around in the kitchen baking cookies.
"Lanie!" Felicity sqealed. "Just in time to back cookies."
"Uhh...not right now, sorry guys." I responded guiltily. The cookie dough smelled really good! But I had to sort this out. How could he text me, but then say he didn't? Was he REALLY lying?
"Lanie, there's something wrong. I can tell." Julie can ALWAYS tell when your hurt. Always. Even if your perky and bake cookies for everyone all the time, like Felicity.
"I'm fine, okay?"
"Whooaaaa....okay Lanie." Mia said, taking a step back.
Sighing, I knew that I was being a bit harsh. After all, these are my AG sisters.
"Fine. I'll bake cookies with you guys tonight."
"YAYYYY!!!" Felicity screamed, jumping up and down. I swear she's the second oldest, but she will never grow up. But that is what I love about her perky little self.

After baking the cookies, my hands were covered with flour and my face hurt from smiling. The cookies looked DELICIOUS as we pulled them out of the oven. I looked at my watch.
"Oh my goodness, it's 11:00! On a school night!" Julie yelled. "Okay everyone Paige is at a sleepover so don't tell her you stayed up this late under my supervision!"
"Only if you let us stay up for another hour..." Mia smirked.

A half-hour later I was on my laptop.
DING!
Another message from Matt? This one read:

Please please PLEASE come on a double date...or double get-together...with you, me, Zach, and Julie. I'm sure your older sister would be find with it! And your owner. Come on! It will be fun. We can go as friends and talk it over. Lanie, I want you back. Your my girlfriend and I haven't even kissed you yet. One more chance?

I had no choice but to agree. Maybe not to the whole bf/gf thing, but I will give him another chance. After all, what could go wrong?

I'm gonna find out soon.

The Text Message

Hey guys! I just got back from the movies with Mia. We saw Gnomeo and Juliet. snoooozzzaaaa.
Actually, I wouldn't know because some idiot in front of us was sooo annoying and wouldn't take their HUGE hat off!! lol.
My life is going great (so far.) Kanani got expelled for the punch incident, and Matt and I are like totally boyfriend and girlfriend. Oops. Almost forgot.

Earlier today Julie wandered into my corner of the room.

"Hey Lanie..." She said.

"Oh, hi Julie. Uhh...what brings ya here?" I asked. She looked a bit nervous.

"What? Huh? NOTHING...I mean...uhh...nothing brings me here I was just passing by ya know.....heh heh." she stuttered.

"Julie what's going on?"

"Okay, fine. I'm the oldest and I should be mature in this situation."

"What do you mean by "situation"?" I asked, confused.

She took a deep breathe and handed me her phone. "Uhh...thanks?" I said. Julie just shook her head.

"Read the text message."

To: Julie
From: Matt

Hey Julie. It's Matt, your little sister's boyfriend...um...this isn't easy but I think that Lanie and I should break up. Please tell me how to let her down gently! Thx.


I looked up, shocked. "Wh-wh-wha-WHAT? H-h-he wants to bb-brree--brea--kk up?" I whispered to myself. I could feel my eyes starting to water. Soon all the tears rushed down my cheeks.

"Oh...Lanie..." Julie comforted me and hugged me. "I'm so sorry Lanie. I know this was your first real relationship. But always remember your big sister Julie is here for you." I looked up hopefully at her.

*sniffle* "Really?" I asked

"Really." she said. I got up and looked outside. A new sheet of snow was just beginning to fall from the sky. I then promised to be a new doll.

"Lanie..." I heard Paige call. I ran back into my bed and pretended to be asleep. She walked into our part of her room and shook me "awake." I moaned. Paige stroked my blonde locks.

"Lanie, I know things are hard, but I want you to know that your sisters and I are always here for you. No matter what. In fact, you might have a new little sister soon." What! She's getting another doll! When? I think Paige saw the sparkle in my green eyes. "Soon, don't worry. But anyway, we are going outside to play in the snow. Come out when ever your ready." I heard her close the door behind her and I jumped out of bed. I didn't need Matt. I just needed my family and friends. I quickly put on my hat, gloves, jacket, and mittens.

We played in the snow for hours until I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. Julie, Mia, Felicity, and I brewed up some hot cocoa. It really wasn't snowing that hard and it wasn't that cold, but hey, who cares!! lol.

So like I said, I'm feeling much, much better. I'll talk to Matt at school tomorrow, but for now, I'm fine. I just  got my slippers and robe on. Fuzzy!

The Valentine's Dance Recap

So as the title says, the school dance was today. Wow I'm worn out.

Paige was getting me ready for the dance (in my awesome dress--see previous post.) The sun was just starting to set, and I swished my dress from side to side. I ajusted my earrings and fixed my hair. I could never seem to make myself look perfect. I finally decided on my curls in a high bun and one wavy hairpiece down. My earrings were diamond studs.
I heard a car horn beep outside, so I grabbed my purse and ran out the door. Paige was driving me there with Mia (Who was going with Chad.) Shivering from my nervousness, we pulled into Girl Of The Year University. I took a step out and saw Matt, Chad, and a couple of their friends and their dates.
"Whoa, Lanie, you look great tonight." Matt said.
"Thanks." I responded as he escorted me inside. It was in the gym. When we walked through the doors, I saw red, pink, and white ribbon everywhere. There were balloons with hearts on them and glitter all over the floor. A little cheesy, but hey, it's just a Valentine's Day Dance. A guy from our school was preforming onstage, and everybody besides Matt and I went to the punch bowl.
"Want to go get some punch?" I asked.
"Sure" he said.
I was just about to grab a cracker at the snack table, when I felt something wet and sticky drip down my back. Slowly at first, and then suddenly a whole bowl of bunch was thrown over my head. My hair was dripping wet and sticking out in all different directions. Suprised, I quickly turned around. Who was it? Kanani.
"Oh my gosh Lanie, are you okay?" Matt asked.
I just shivered and stepped over all the puddles of punch. Up in Kanani's face, I waited for her to say something.
"From the moment I stepped into the classroom that boy was mine. I thought I told you that." she whispered.
"Matt, let's go dance while, uh, Lanie, cleans up."
"Kanani--didn't you just pour that punch all over Lanie...my GIRLFRIEND?" He called me his girlfriend!
"It was an accident!" Kanani sobbed inoccently.
"No, Kanani, it wasn't. Leave. Now. Lanie is my girlfriend, so get over it." Matt said.
Totally happy but kind of embarrassed from the look of my hair, makeup, and brand new dress, I turned to go run to the bathroom, but Matt--oops I mean my BOYFRIEND--grabbed my arm. "Lanie, I don't care that you look like a wreck. Let's dance."
Giggling, he pulled me out onto the dance floor. We danced the night away.
At about 10:00, I heard Paige's car horn beep. Time to go already? I waved goodbye to Matt. I can't wait to see him at school on Tuesday.

Dress Shopping

Today Felicity (being the model) and I went dress shopping for my dress to wear to the Valentine's Dance on Friday. First we stopped at American Girl Place.
"Ooooh, this one's adorable!!" Felicity said as she held up a pink flowy dress.
"No, not my style." I said to everything that Felicity picked out.
Finally, after sooooo many selections throughout the whole store, my eye spotted a big, silver necklace. I HAD to have it!!! We checked out and went to Lord and Taylor to find my dress. It was so easy this time, because the first thing on the rack was a BCBG red satin halter dress. It was sooo cute, and I immediately took it to the dressing room. Here it is in human form:

Hey guys. yesterday was chaos, right? well, today was worse.

After finally recovering from the heartbreak, I strolled into the cafeteria. I waved to Chrissa, one of my friends here at Girl of The Year University. Searching for Matt (I never said I wasn't over him!), I slowly walked to Chrissa. Finally, my eyes met his piercing blue ones. I just couldn't stop staring. He just stared at me too while Kanani blabbed on and on about something boring. Even though she was talking loudly and obnoxiously, I didn't hear a thing. I was lost in Matt's eyes. Was it my silky locks? My designer blue sundress? My perfect makeup and skin? Either way, Matt gave me a quick signal to come over to their table. Quickly, I told Chrissa I needed to sit somewhere else right now.
I walked over to Matt, then unaware of what I was getting myself into. Standing at the foot of the table, Kanani's voice raised higher.
"And your here BECAUSE?" she snapped.
"Kanani!" Matt scolded. "She's my friend, so lay off."
I looked was probably looking kinda weird just standing there while they argued, and I turned to walk away. Matt suddenly grabbed me on the arm. "No, Lanie. It's fine. You can stay."
"If you say so..." I responded. Kanani looked like she was about to explode.
About halfway into lunch, I made a daring move. "Hey guys, do you have dates to the School Dance this Friday?" Matt shrugged.
"Nobody has asked me yet, and I haven't asked anyone." he said.
I looked at Kanani like she was crazy. Why hadn't she asked him yet? Now he was mine to take.
"Hey Matt, do you--"
"--want to go to the dance with ME." Kanani finished. Matt opened his mouth to speak, but I was already walking away, this time with my head held high, and nothing, not even Matt grabbing my arm, could EVER make me sat back down. Ever. He was DEAD to me. Kanani was DEAD to me. And my love life, it was just DEAD.
Later that day, I sat on the bus in a two seater alone. I just thought about what happened. Maybe Matt and I just weren't meant to be. As I stared out the window, I heard somebody slip into my seat with me. I turned around, and it was Matt.
"Hey." He said.
"Hi."
I didn't know what else to say. Good thing he did all the talking.
"Lanie, I want to let you know that I rejected Kanani today at lunch. I...was.....hoping to go w-w-with......you." He stuttered, obviously nervous, but I thought it was ADORABLE!! "I didn't ask earlier because I was nervous and I wanted to it somewhere special. I guess this two seater will have to do." He continued.
I was so overjoyed! "Of course I'll  go with you Matt. But next time, just ask, okay?" I joked. We both laughed, then it was silence. I stared into his eyes and he stared into mine. I gave him a kiss on the cheek. He smiled then said, "See you on Friday Lanie. I can't wait."

The School Dance

Hi guys. As you can see from the title, the school dance is coming up. I was planning to ask Matt, but after the scene that Kanani made today, my chances are low.

I was writing an essay in class today, when I saw Kanani walk up to Matt. She twirled her hair and giggled at everything he said. Thinking fast, I put down my pencil and ran up to them before Kanani could say another word.
"Hey guys! What's up?" I said as I nearly ran into them.
Matt, originally looking kind of down, perked up. He looked at me.
"I'm glad to see you, Lanie." he said. I side glanced at Kanani, who was giving me a wicked look. Brushing her off, I smiled cutely at Matt.
"Thanks. It's nice to see you, too." Flashing a quick smile, I added, "So Matt, what were you going to say yesterday? You started "Maybe we should" until that uhh...girl....interrupted you."
"My NAME is Kanani." she snapped.
"Yeah...maybe you should go Kanani." Matt said.
POINT ONE TEAM LANIE!
"Go ahead, Matt, say what you were going to ask." I said.
"Oh...right." He looked a bit nervous. "I was going to say...maybe we should....go..." I bit my lip. He was going to ask me out! He hesitated, then continued. "uhh...maybe we should go....to lunch now. Ya, that's what I was going to say yesterday before Kanani came. Speaking of Kanani, we should probably go together. We're going to Algebra now."
Heartbroken, I walked away without responding. Nearly running now, Matt called after me. "WAIT! Lanie! I..." With tears and a new found hope in my eyes, I turned around, my curls swiping across my face. "Nevermind..." Matt said. With new tears forming, I ran down the hall with my Algebra homework and Kanani's ice cold stare, sending shivers down my back. How could he? We were perfect!!
In the bathroom, I wiped away the tears angrily until I heard the door open. It was non other than the wicked witch, Kanani.
"Told you that boy was mine." she stated. She flipped her hair and strutted out of the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.

Matt really broke my heart. I mean, it's not like we were together, but I REALLY thought he liked me and was going to ask me to the school dance. Kanani is probs asking him right now. (i have my laptop in study hall)

Matt! Don't...NO! Not her....

Hey everyone! Lanie here. Do you like my new look and header?

Anyway, today at school we got a new girl.

I was walking down the narrow halls of Girl Of The Year University. Since Hawaii is so far away from our school, the new girl Kanani was arriving today, in the middle of the school year. I couldn't WAIT to meet her. As I rushed down the hall, (Late..), my blonde curls bounced up and down. Our classroom was just around the corner.
When I peeked in the door, I saw Kanani wasn't here yet. Dissapointed, I slowly opened the door. Everybody's head in the classroom turned to look at me, except for one. Matt. The amazzinggg popular Matt! My heart almost stopped as he turned around in his desk. His swift blonde hair swayed with his head. His bright blue eyes stared into made for a split second-until Mrs.Cameron shot me a wicked look and snapped at me.
"Lanie Caitlyn Holland!!! Why are you late to this class AGAIN!!"
"I'm sorry Mrs. Cameron, I--"
"NO EXCUSES! Please take a seat at your desk."
As I walked to the back of the room, I noticed one of our Chrissas (Re-Named Miranda) sitting at my desk.
"Excuse me? That's my desk..."
Miranda shot me a confused look. "Sorry, we switched seats. Your seat over there." She pointed to a seat on the far right of the room. My face flushed. It was so embarrassing, just walking around in the classroom as my sandals squeaked againt the hard wood floors.
"what is taking so long, Lanie?" Mrs. Cameron yelled. Quickly I hurried to my new desk.
An couple minutes later, I reached over to see who sat next to me.
IT WAS MATT. My heart skipped a beat!! I've never liked a guy more than I've liked Matt. He's so funny and cute and loyal and---
"And now to welcome our new student, Kanani Akina!"Mrs Cameron announced, interrupting my day dreaming. A shy girl with really long hair walked in. She waved. "Aloha!!"
"Aloha!" we all answered back, giggling.
Matt, sitting next to me, flashed me a smile.
Mrs. Cameron directed Kanani to her seat, on the other side of Matt.
I finally worked up the nerve to say something to Matt. "H-h-h-iii. I mean...umm....h-he-yy---"
Matt laughed. I could feel my cheeks turning red. "Your really funny Lanie. Maybe we should--" He was cut off suddenly by Kanani. "Heyy...." she said cooly. "Your really cute.." Matt scrached behind his ear and shrugged his shoulders are me. Turning away, he responded, "Thanks." Soon they were striking up a conversation, and I was just watching uncomfortably from my desk. Then, like an answer to my prayers, the recess bell rang. Matt grabbed his lunch money and strolled out of the room.
Kanani, suddenly going from sweet to vicious, scowled at me. "Who do you think you are? From the moment I stepped in here, that boy was MINE! So I don't want to see you talking to him ever again!" She scolded, then ran out of the room. From outside the classroom, I heard her yell, "Hey Matt! Wait up!"
I just sat at my desk shocked until Mrs. Cameron forced me to go to lunch.

A Change

Hi everyone! I've decided to change how my blog is a little. Not the appearance or how often I post, but HOW I post. I've been checking out blogs I follow (example: The Life And Times of Kylie --GO CHECK IT OUT!) And how it is either all about the company AG, or the the AG doll's real LIFE. I've decided instead of my usual "Hey guys, i just watched the superbowl..." I'm going to mix that in with drama. Not made up, but things that happen in school, crushes, etc. (again, check out The Life and Times of Kylie!) I've also decided to make my posts much longer, like telling a story. I think that will attract a lot more followers and make it a little more fun to check out my updates! Thanks guys!!
